Bell Sagemcom Modem (Black Bell modem also know as F@st)
Sagemcom Modem Setup:
Connect modem to power supply, use the included phone cable (it is specially designed for high speed DSL, do not use your own personal phone cables). Connect the Ethernet Cable to the Lan 1 port on the modem and the other end into your computer. Wait 30 seconds for your computer to connect with the modem, then open your browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, or Chrome) and tyoe 192.168.2.1 in the internet address bar. If a pop up appears, then use admin for both the username and password. You should then see the screen below:
Click on the Internet link on the left side of the screen, it will bring you to the following page below. Here you enter your username and password, overriding the defaults in the fields, and click Save.
To setup the the Wireless, click wireless on the left hand side, and you will see the screen below. Then change the SSID to the name you want your wireless network show up as (such as Auracom.net or SmithFamily). Then enter the password you want to use. Must be 10 characters. Click save.
It is always good to reboot your modem after making configuration changes. To do so, click the Resets link on the left, and then click Reboot. Do not hit Reset, as this will return your modem to the default settings. If you wanted to use your modem as a bridge only, so you could use your own router, then reset the modem to default. Connect your router to the modem, and reboot the modem. They setup your router as per the manufacturers settings. (Auracom will not setup your third party router).
